Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts President-Elect Academician Prof. Dr. Franc Forstnerič
On 14 May 2026, elections for the new leadership of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU) were held. At the electoral assembly, Academician Franc Forstnerič, our colleague, who has served as Secretary General of SAZU since 2020, was elected President of the Academy.
He assumed the presidency for a three-year term on 1 June 2026.
We sincerely congratulate Academician Prof. Dr. Franc Forstnerič on his election as President of SAZU and wish him every success in his work!
